London Baby!

A few weeks ago, the weekend before my birthday to be precise, me and Hubby packed a small (very small!) bag each and hot footed it down to London. We have both been to London separately before but this was our first time together, and it was ACE! So here's what we got up to:

First stop Denmark Street where Hubby tried out a £2000 bass. He did not bring that home with him! Denmark Street is know as the British Tin Pan Ally and is home to wall to wall music shops.

Then it was time for my birthday treat to my self, and one of the main reasons I wanted to go down to London, my appointment at Wah nails. Wah is a nail company that specialises in nail art. They have two branches in London, one at Dalston and a concession in Topshop on Oxford Street, which is the one I went to. I have to admit I was a bit dubious about having this done. It's quite pricey and at the end of the day it's only nail polish, but Hubby advise me that if I didn't get it done I would always wonder (and sometimes Hubby is right). So I chose my designs and went all out. I mean if your going to do it, you might as well do it, if you know what I mean!

You can just pick one design and have it on all of your nails. Or you can have one design on one nail and have the others painted a full colour if you like. The world is your creative oyster here. As you can see I went for the Pow accent nail and dots and flowers on the others. Now I did mention that this was pricey and that was not a jest. My nails cost around the £35 mark, but for me it was well worth it!! My nail art has been on for two weeks now, and if my nails didn't grow so quickly they would still look pretty good. I am honestly impressed with this, what shall we call it.....treatment? And for all those nail art enthusiasts out there, if you are ever in London why not give your self a treat. I think you might like it.

Next on our whirlwind tour of London we did the seriously touristy stuff and visited Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abby.

This was taken outside the Palace to give you guys a little peak of my London look. I know my hair looks crazy but it was a windy day. Also that bag had all my things in it for our two day jaunt. Can you believe it! I had to travel very light. Hubby had a similar bag as well but mine seemed heavier than his for some reason. That, however was remedied the next day when I packed both bags back up.

(Jacket – Ebay, Jumper – H by Henry Holland @ Debenhams, Shorts – H & M, Leggings – Forever 21, Boots – Dr. Martens.)

The second day started with a trip to Camden, which is an absolute must for me! If you love shopping and you like things that are a bit unusual then Camden is the place for you. I adore it and I saw so many things that I wanted, but unfortunately available funds were anything but.

They even have an Irregular Choice shop. And loads were in the sale!!! *sobs*

After Camden we went to Choccywoccydoodah which is a famous chocolatiers, for some inside in the warmth times and some treats. I had coconut cake and hot chocolate and Hubby had a banana split and a pot of tea.Yum!

It was then on to The Natural History Museum, The Victoria and Albert Museum, Harrods, Covent Garden, Nandos for tea, and Oxford Street again before catching the train back home.

Hectic? Your telling me! But it was worth it!

So if you are wondering weather I bought anything during our London-athon, I did.

I bought this jumper from Camden market with my birthday money from my work colleagues. The lady on the stall originally wanted £20 for it, but I managed (by accident) to haggle her down to £16. Bargain.

I also went in to L'Occitane at Covent Garden and bought some Cherry Blossom hand cream, which smells devine. The man that served me also gave me some free samples so that was lovely. Who doesn't love free stuff?

Well guys sorry that turned in to a bit of an epic post. I hope I haven't bored you completely with my London ramblings. But it was so good i just had to share it with you.

Thanks for reading and I will catch up with you again soon.
